The Bridge Federation of India announced that the prestigious fifth Asia Cup Bridge Championships will take place from June 21-27 at the Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon in Goa. Held every four years, the event stands among the most distinguished continental Bridge Championships.

This edition will see participation from over 20 countries, including top-ranked teams from India, China, Japan, and other leading nations in Asia and Oceania. The tournament aims to solidify India's status as a prime location for intellectual sporting events and highlights Goa as a competitive international sporting tourism hub.

Competition categories will include men's, women's, mixed, and senior team events, alongside open and mixed Pairs competitions. India, which has a rich history in these championships with 20 medals, will seek to expand its medal tally further. The tournament will conclude with a 'Friendship Pairs Event' open to all registered players on June 27.
