Two individuals have been apprehended for allegedly pilfering 66 hard disks filled with vital film and web series data from the Bandra-based production house of renowned filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, according to police statements made on Tuesday.

The theft came to the fore after Mehjabeen Shaikh, an executive assistant at Tiger Baby Digital LLP, reported the missing storage devices to the Bandra police station, triggering an investigation.

Authorities uncovered that Mohammed Shahid Azim Khan, an office boy, systematically purloined 24 hard drives over the last five months, selling them to Ritesh Suresh Shah. The suspects have been charged under multiple legal provisions and remain in custody as the inquiry progresses.
