Abhishek Lodha announced the establishment of the Lodha Theoretical Physics Institute, aimed at advancing theoretical physics research in India with a $100 million funding commitment.

The Lodha Foundation unveiled the Lodha Theoretical Physics Institute, a pioneering initiative dedicated to enhancing research in theoretical physics within India. The institute aims to provide a conducive academic environment for intense research, international conferences, and collaboration among top scientists globally.

"Striving for excellence in our endeavors is vital for significant impact," stated Abhishek Lodha, CEO and MD of Lodha Developers. He emphasized the institute's role in identifying and nurturing talent, investing in urban sustainability, and fostering innovation. Lodha highlighted the financial commitment of USD 100 million for both LMSI and LTPI over the next decade.

Prof Jainendra Jain, appointed to lead LTPI, noted, "To achieve developed nation status by 2047, India must establish robust institutions equipped with world-class research infrastructure. LTPI, as the first fully privately funded physics institution, is a major step toward this goal."
