Famed folk musician Gafaruddin Mewati, known for his commitment to spreading messages of communal harmony, recently received the prestigious Padma Shri award. Growing up traveling village to village with his father, Gafaruddin learned the bhapang and other instruments under the 'guru-shishya' method.
