Celebrated filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar recently graced the sacred Bhasma Aarti at the revered Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain. Bhandarkar, known for his award-winning films, expressed his deep spiritual ties with the shrine, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and spoke candidly about his emotional attachment during an interview with ANI.

'I have been coming to Mahakaal for over two decades. Each visit fills me with joy and spiritual satisfaction,' stated Bhandarkar. The filmmaker detailed waking up at dawn to partake in the early-morning Aarti, emphasizing the ceremony's transformative energy.

Praising the local administration's developments in Ujjain, Bhandarkar noted the enhanced facilities for devotees, including improved infrastructure and accommodations. Actor Jay Bhanushali and TV star Aarti Singh, both present at the Aarti, shared their profound experiences, highlighting the ritual's captivating aura and its rare, transformative impact on worshippers.
