Renowned filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has openly criticized the state of post-pandemic Hollywood, describing contemporary films as uninspiring and formula-driven. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning director behind classics like 'Pulp Fiction', 'Kill Bill', and 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', expressed his discontent with the current cinematic landscape.

Tarantino remarked on the difficulty of engaging with recent cinematic releases, noting that he often finds flaws and implausibilities in what he perceives as a 'flavorless sausage factory' that Hollywood has become. His sentiments reflect a significant shift in his attitude towards modern movies over the past few years.

Despite his disappointment, Tarantino singled out Joe Carnahan's Netflix thriller 'The Rip' as a standout. He praised its captivating narrative, skilled direction, and compelling screenplay. While 'The Rip' garners attention for its quality, it also faces a lawsuit over alleged fictional depictions. Tarantino is also venturing into theater, working on his first stage play, 'The Popinjay Cavalier', set for a 2027 debut in London.
