The Curse of Oak Island Season 7 may not be having the official release date but fans are happy that the treasure hunt in real-life is on its way. We have so far received the portrayal of Rick and Marty Lagina-led team's tremendous effort in the quest of treasure in the last six seasons. Now the avid viewers have incredible expectation from the imminent season.

Some earlier leaked snaps gave hints that The Curse of Oak Island Season 7 is not only under production, but the team is also working in the swamp area while other snaps revealed the arrival of multiple trucks and several equipment. This was an indication of more digging activities in the upcoming season.

Fans have high expectations from The Curse of Oak Island Season 7 as they had seen several moments of disappointments for the Lagina brothers in Season 6. Yes, there were successful in discovering some precious rare artefacts including the Knights Templar cross, iron spikes, gold brooch and many other valuable items. But the viewers were furious because the episode 22 titled 'Lost and Founding' ended without showing what the series claimed to be their most significant discovery.

Even in Season 6 of The Curse of Oak Island, the crane operators went on strike and there was no excavation for three weeks. Thus, it is believed that the upcoming season will pick up from where it ended with the portrayal of many more discoveries. But you will be glad to learn that the imminent season is going to be the longest in comparison to the previous seasons as History has ordered for 36 episodes this time.

It is also surprising to see that the number of episodes increases every season. The active reality television series started its Season 1 with only 5 episodes. Then the number of episodes was made double in Season 2. Likewise, it went on increasing – Season 3 had 13 episodes, Season 4 had 16 episodes, Season 5 had 18 episodes, Season 6 had 22 episodes and Season 7 will have 36 episodes.

Some believe that the purpose of keeping such a big number of episodes for The Curse of Oak Island Season 7 is to unveil the centuries-old hidden treasures in this season and bid adieu to the viewers. And some other sects of fans believe that the discovery isn't possible in this season and Season 8 will have more number of episodes to follow the increasing trends.

That's the reason the stories of sunken ship and the superb chances of hidden treasures are creating rumors this time. The team already discovered an elongated piece of wood in Money Pit, which is expected to be a part of the wrecked ship buried in the sea. Many have come to an opinion that the good number of treasures and artefacts can be found in the hidden vessel.
