Local court sentences seven people to life imprisonment for killing man

A local court here today sentenced seven people to life imprisonment for killing a man.

Additional District Sessions Judge Gaurav Shrivastava imposed a fine of Rs 23,000 each on Rambir and Rubal while a fine of Rs 15,000 each was imposed on Virender, Bhura, Manoj, Karmvir Singh and Ramdhan.

The seven people were held guilty under Section 302 (punishment for murder) and 120B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.

According to prosecution lawyer Jitwender Tyagi, Ram Kumar was shot dead by the convicts on March 28, 201,5 over a land dispute at Manwada which comes under the jurisdiction of Jansath police station.
