No evidence against McCoy in investigation

The investigation of an armed robbery and aggravated assault in Milton, Ga., has yet to turn up any evidence against Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The NFL's investigation is continuing, but "is not anywhere near actionable at this time," according to the report.

It was announced earlier this week that McCoy will not be placed on the commissioner's exempt list and is eligible to play in Sunday's opener at the Baltimore Ravens.

Police have investigated an alleged home invasion at McCoy's Georgia house, which happened in July, for the last two months.

McCoy's ex-girlfriend, Delicia Cordon, was living in the home at the time and told police a man broke into the home with no signs of forced entry, hit her multiple times in the head with a gun and asked for jewelry that McCoy had gifted her but had later requested back.

Cordon has said she believes McCoy was somehow involved in the incident, and she filed a personal injury lawsuit against McCoy and former University of Pittsburgh teammate Tamarcus Porter seeking damages around $150,000. It claims McCoy should be held financially liable for Cordon's injuries because he had changed the security codes to the home and refused to provide the information to her, saying he "breached his duty to use ordinary care" to protect Cordon.

McCoy has denied allegations made by Cordon and has participated fully with the Bills throughout the summer, saying the team is backing him "110 percent."

The Bills selected McCoy as one of the team captains on Monday.

A nine-year NFL veteran, McCoy will be playing in his fourth season in Buffalo. The 30-year-old rushed for 1,138 yards and gained another 448 receiving yards in 2017 while scoring eight total touchdowns.
