Chhattisgarh: Policeman succumbs to injures in Dantewada Naxal attack, toll rises to 4

A Chhattisgarh policeman on Wednesday succumbed to his injuries here at a hospital, taking the toll to four in a Maoist ambush in Dantewada in which a Doordarshan cameraman and two policemen were also killed, police said.

Rakesh Kaushal was injured in the attack that took place on Tuesday when a Doordarshan crew was moving with a police patrol in Aranpur area.

Kaushal was part of the patrol moving in vehicles when they were attacked.

The other slain police personnel were identified as Constable Mangal Ram and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rudra Pratap Singh. Another injured policeman, Vishnu Netam, is being treated. The dead cameraman was Achyuta Nanda Sahu.
