Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sahi Ram Pehalwan on Tuesday filed his nomination papers from the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. AAP leaders and Delhi ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi were present as he filed his nomination.
Pehalwan is a two-time MLA from Tughlakabad. BJP has fielded Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi. AAP and Congress have forged an alliance in Delhi which has seven Lok Sabha seats. In the 2019 election, BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri won the seat bagging 56.68 pc of the votes polled. All seven seats of Delhi go to the polls on May 25.
