In a heartbreaking incident, three members of a family drowned in the Ganga River on Saturday, while three more remain missing after being swept away by the river's powerful currents, police reported.

A family of six had gone for a bath in the river, but the strong currents overwhelmed them. Locals managed to rescue three family members, but rescue efforts are still ongoing for the father, Vinay Singh (38), his son Shiva (13), and his nephew Kishan (12), who are feared dead.

Station House Officer Manoj Kumar Rai stated, 'Divers and police are conducting search and rescue operations in collaboration with locals to locate the missing individuals.'
