A 29-year-old man was tragically killed after a signboard collapsed on him amid severe weather conditions in Maharashtra's Latur district, police confirmed on Sunday.

According to an official statement, the incident occurred Saturday evening near Ahmedpur. The victim, identified as Dnyaneshwar Balaji Sake, was a resident of Ashta and was traveling to Shirur-Tajband on his motorcycle.

The signboard, which displayed direction and distance on the highway, fell due to strong winds and rain, striking Sake as he rode beneath it. An accidental death report has been registered, the official added.
