France's Risky Moves in Ukraine Conflict

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that France was deepening its involvement in the Ukraine conflict and increasing the risk of a direct clash with Russia. Zakharova told reporters it was time for the people of France to wake up and realise what they were being dragged into.

French President Emmanuel Macron has promised to supply Ukraine with Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets, and has raised the possibility in recent months that NATO troops could be deployed in Ukraine to help it defend against Russia.
