NTPC Achieves 9.5% Increase in Power Generation in Q1 2024

State-owned NTPC reported a 9.5% year-on-year increase in its power generation, reaching 113.87 billion units in Q1 2024. The company's coal stations recorded an average capacity utilization of 79.5%. NTPC remains India's largest power generation company, operating under the Ministry of Power.

State-owned NTPC announced on Monday a 9.5% year-on-year rise in its power generation, achieving 113.87 billion units (BUs) for the quarter ending June 2024.

In this first quarter, NTPC’s coal stations recorded a plant load factor (PLF) of 79.5%, showcasing robust average capacity utilization of its thermal power units, according to a company statement.

Operating under the Ministry of Power, NTPC continues to be India's largest power generation company.
