Delhi police on Wednesday claimed the arrest of three individuals linked to the murder of a 40-year-old African national in Nihal Vihar. Suspects Rajesh, Abhishek, and Mohit were apprehended in Uttam Nagar, with a scooter seized from them.
Initial interrogations revealed the crime stemmed from a drug-related dispute. The victim, who allegedly sold drugs, had taken money from the suspects but failed to deliver the narcotics or return the funds. Among the trio, Mohit is a drug addict, while Rajesh and Abhishek provided logistical support. They previously met in jail for separate offenses.
The investigation involved CCTV footage analysis of approximately 150 cameras and local intelligence to identify the accused. A raid in Mangol Pur Kalan was unsuccessful, but subsequent secret information led to another raid in Uttam Nagar, resulting in their capture. The incident occurred at around 10 PM, where the victim, Sunday Ernest Morah, was shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
