Government Invites Applications for 2024 National Disability Empowerment Awards

The government has opened applications for the 2024 national awards, recognizing excellence in the empowerment of persons with disabilities. Organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the awards align with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. The government has invited applications for the 2024 national awards dedicated to institutions working for the empowerment of persons with disabilities.

These prestigious awards are conferred annually by the Union Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry's Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities each December 3, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

According to an official statement, the awards aim to recognize and honor exceptional contributions from individuals, institutions, organizations, as well as state and district authorities in the field of disability empowerment.
