Severe waterlogging in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, following prolonged heavy rainfall, has culminated in significant crop damage, report locals. Sunil Kumar, a resident, remarked, "Waterlogging has resulted in the closure of village roads, making it difficult to access nearby villages and resources."

Kumar elaborated on the hardships, stating, "Villagers are unable to travel, and the water levels are expected to rise over the next three months, exacerbating the situation. Health issues have also surfaced due to the waterlogging, complicating access to medical services, with children unable to attend school."

Another farmer, Sunil Kumar, noted the financial toll, "The crops are severely damaged, affecting our income. Despite some government inspections, the heavy rains hinder their aid efforts." District Magistrate Anuj Kumar assured that teams are assisting the affected, providing medical kits to prevent waterborne diseases, and will offer financial support if crop damage intensifies. The Indian Meteorological Department predicts continued rainfall in the region over the coming days.
