Schneider Electric Chennai Plant Receives Golden Peacock Award for Energy Efficiency

Schneider Electric's Chennai plant has been honored with the Golden Peacock Award for its outstanding energy efficiency initiatives. The plant achieved a 33% improvement in energy efficiency over three years, avoiding 6,368 tons of CO2 emissions. Schneider Electric aims for 100% green energy usage within five years.

New Delhi, July 12, 2024: Schneider Electric's Chennai plant has garnered the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for its exceptional energy-efficiency initiatives. The facility has shown a remarkable 33% improvement in energy efficiency over the last three years, significantly reducing its carbon footprint by avoiding 6,368 tons of CO2 emissions.

Through focused energy-efficiency efforts, the plant now sources a third of its energy from renewable resources, a step towards its goal of leveraging 100% green energy within five years. This achievement underlines Schneider Electric's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, aligning with the company's broader environmental and operational goals.
