The CPI (M) politburo member BV Raghavulu has accused the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of squandering thousands of crores on the Polavaram project, urging a thorough probe against politicians, bureaucrats, and contractors.

Raghavulu emphasized that many affected individuals have not received due compensation or rehabilitation, calling it a national project that should be managed by the Union government with full responsibility.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu released a white paper detailing discrepancies, including damaged structures and halted works, attributing significant project delays and financial misuse to the succeeding government.
