Four Indian Army soldiers, including an officer, were killed during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Tuesday. Defense officials reported that the operation in the Doda area is still ongoing.

Further details are awaited. A joint operation by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir police was initiated on Monday evening after an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Dessa area of the district.

Additional troops have been deployed to strengthen the cordon. On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered old-rusted arms and ammunition from a terror hideout in Reasi district. Items recovered included AK-47 rounds, a magazine, and a hand grenade. This comes amid recent terror attacks in the Jammu region, including incidents in Kathua, Doda, and Udhampur.
