Leaders Condemn VIP Chief's Father's Brutal Murder, Demand Strict Action in Bihar

Reacting to the brutal murder of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani's father, Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar's former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader, condemned the current law and order situation under the "double engine government." Yadav expressed shock and heartbreak, offering condolences to the bereaved family on X.
Yadav criticized the state government, claiming that a terror rule prevails and that criminals feel emboldened due to the government's support. "The NDA government refuses to accept the truth while countless people fall victim to daily criminal activities," Yadav stated, adding that crime bulletins go unheeded as the administration remains indifferent.
Joining the condemnation, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded quick justice for Mukesh Sahani's father. He described the murder of 70-year-old Jitan Sahani as "extremely sad and condemnable." Kharge emphasized the need for strict action against the culprits and solidarity with INDIA alliance partner Sahni.
The brutal killing occurred on Monday night in Bihar's Darbhanga district. According to the police, an investigation is underway with evidence being collected from the crime scene. Police have detained two unidentified persons for questioning, and a SIT led by Darbhanga SP Rural has been deployed.
