Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a series of significant benefits for farmers, including a loan waiver of Rs 1,00,000 to be processed by July 18. The announcement was made via the official X handle of the Telangana Chief Minister's Office (CMO), bringing good news for the farming community.
In a clarifying statement regarding the provision of ration cards for loan waivers, CM Reddy explained that the Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver would apply to the farmers' families based on their passbooks. The Chief Minister further instructed bankers to ensure that the loan waiver funds are properly allocated, warning of strict action if funds are misdirected.
In a high-level meeting with Collectors, Police Commissioners, and SPs, CM Reddy provided detailed clarifications on the loan waiver and various welfare schemes. He emphasized the responsibility of collectors to ensure government programs reach all beneficiaries. Additionally, CM Reddy reiterated the government's mission to extend six guarantees to every eligible person and resolved to address pending Dharani issues by August 15. The Chief Minister also stressed measures to protect government lands and ponds, and the creation of a digital health profile for everyone, ensuring access to Aarogyasri health services regardless of card status.
