Kamrup Express Engine and Coach Detached in Assam, No Injuries Reported

The engine and a coach of the Kamrup Express train detached in Assam's Dibrugarh district on Tuesday evening, causing a temporary disruption in service.

The incident, occurring between Lahowal and Chaulkhowa, did not result in any injuries or casualties. Sabyasachi De, CPRO of Northeast Frontier Railway, confirmed the lack of injuries and stated that the engine and coach have been reattached. The train has since resumed its journey toward its destination.

A similar incident took place on July 6, when two coaches of the Panchvati Express, traveling to Mumbai, decoupled near Kasara station. The issue was swiftly addressed, and the train continued its journey after a brief delay, with no reported injuries or damage.

Railway officials assured that services are running smoothly and emphasized their commitment to passenger safety and timely interventions.
