Chhattisgarh CM Visits Injured Jawans, Security Forces Kill 12 Naxals

Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai visited the injured jawans after a deadly IED blast by Naxalites. Meanwhile, a major anti-Naxal operation at the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border resulted in the deaths of 12 Naxals and recovery of significant weaponry.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma visited the four STF jawans injured during an encounter with Naxalites on Wednesday. The fatal IED blast, orchestrated by the insurgents in Bijapur district, also claimed the lives of two security personnel, according to Bastar Police.

Expressing his condolences, CM Sai vowed to continue the fight against Maoism, declaring, 'The martyrdom of the soldiers will not go in vain. Our fight will continue till Maoism is eliminated.'

Security forces have intensified their operations following credible intelligence on the Naxal presence, leading to a significant offensive at Wandoli Village on the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border. The operation, involving seven C60 teams, resulted in the deaths of 12 Naxals and the recovery of a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.
