Konkan Railway Announces Special Trains for Ganpati Festival 2024
To manage the increased passenger traffic during Ganpati Festival 2024, Konkan Railway will operate seven special trains between Mumbai and various destinations from September 1 to September 18. These trains will have scheduled stops at multiple stations along the route to accommodate festival travelers.

In a bid to handle the surge in passenger numbers during the Ganpati Festival 2024, the Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has announced the operation of seven special trains throughout September. According to a press release, Train No. 01151 will depart from Mumbai CSMT at 00:20 hrs daily from September 1 to September 18, reaching Sawantwadi Road at 14:20 hrs the same day.
Complementing this, Train No. 01152 will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 15:10 hrs daily from September 1 to September 18, reaching Mumbai CSMT at 03:45 hrs the next day. These special services will make stops at several key stations, including Dadar, Thane, and Panvel, among others.
The second service under the special trains initiative, Train No. 01153, will leave Mumbai CSMT at 11:30 hrs daily, starting from September 1 to September 18, reaching Ratnagiri at 20:10 hrs the same day. Train No. 01154 will reverse the trip, departing Ratnagiri at 04:00 hrs daily and arriving in Mumbai CSMT at 13:30 hrs. The full schedule includes multiple halts to cater to festival travelers.
