Telecom giant Reliance Jio Infocomm on Friday announced a notable 12 per cent year-on-year rise in standalone net profit for the June quarter, clocking in at Rs 5,445 crore.

The telco's revenue from operations surged by 10 per cent from the previous year to Rs 26,478 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, according to a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.

This boosted net profit, which now stands at Rs 5,445 crore for the reviewed quarter, represents an 11.9 per cent year-on-year increase and a 2 per cent rise on a sequential basis.
