Government to Unveil Next-Gen Economic Policy Framework in Budget 2024-25

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced plans for next-gen economic reforms and assistance for Odisha's tourism. In the 2024-25 Budget, the government will launch the Anusandhan National Research Fund and support temple corridor developments at Vishnupad and Mahabodhi, akin to Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced that the government will introduce an economic policy framework aimed at next-generation reforms to accelerate economic growth.

Unveiling her seventh consecutive Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, Sitharaman confirmed that the Centre will extend assistance to Odisha for the development of its tourism sector.

The Finance Minister also revealed plans to operationalize the Anusandhan National Research Fund to bolster research initiatives.

In addition, funds will be allocated to develop corridors at Vishnupad Temple and Mahabodhi Temple, modeled on the Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor.
