PM Modi: Budget 2024-25 to Propel Economic Growth and Empower All

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the Union Budget 2024-25, presented on Tuesday, aims to drive economic development across India. He emphasized that the budget would empower all segments of society.

'This is a budget designed to lead the nation’s villages, impoverished, and farmers toward prosperity. Over the past decade, 25 crore people have risen from poverty. This budget continues to empower the newly emerged Neo Middle Class,' PM Modi remarked regarding the budget. 'It provides new strength to the middle class and includes robust plans to empower tribal societies, Dalits, and backward classes,' he added.

PM Modi also underscored various tax and TDS provisions, stating, 'This budget includes measures to make the defense sector self-reliant. The tourism sector also receives significant attention, alongside simplified tax and TDS rules. Development in the eastern region is accelerated through new highways and water and power projects.' Discussing MSMEs, the Prime Minister noted that the budget presents a new avenue for small traders and MSMEs.

'A new scheme to enhance ease of credit has been introduced. Announcements were made to expand the export and manufacturing ecosystem to every district. This budget will create new opportunities for startups and the space economy,' he said. The budget places a strong emphasis on manufacturing and infrastructure.

'Together, we will make India a global manufacturing hub. The MSME sector, closely linked with the middle class, offers maximum employment to the poor. This budget will elevate education and skill development to new heights,' PM Modi asserted. He added that the budget would enhance women's economic participation.

'This budget will present countless new opportunities for the youth,' PM Modi commented, congratulating the nation on the 'landmark' budget. He emphasized that the measures would propel India to unprecedented progress,' PM Modi said. The Employment Linked Incentive scheme is one such measure aimed at generating numerous job opportunities. Under this scheme, the government will initially cover the salaries of newly employed individuals, allowing village youth to work with top companies through apprenticeship programs,' he explained. PM Modi also praised Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her team for their diligent work.

Previously, the Union Budget 2024-25 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman outlined nine priorities focusing on productivity and resilience in agriculture, employment and skill development, and the enhancement of manufacturing and services. (ANI)
