Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extended his thanks to the Central government for the Union Budget of fiscal 2024-25, which prioritizes the capital city, Polavaram project, industrial nodes, and the development of backward areas. Complementing the Finance Minister, Andhra Pradesh IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh described the budget allocations for industrial growth, infrastructure, irrigation, and other sectors as a 'new sunrise' for the state. “A special and holistic package has been provided, covering essential areas such as industrial growth, infrastructure, and irrigation,” Lokesh added, highlighting the importance of allocations for Amaravati and Polavaram as a red-letter day in the state's history.
