Governor CV Ananda Bose has lauded the Union Budget, calling it a 'big boon' for West Bengal amid its financial turmoil. He urged the state government to use the allocated funds wisely, avoiding any diversion for unauthorized purposes.

Bose described the budget as a 'lifeboat' sent by the Centre, acknowledging the financial struggles of the state. He emphasized that the budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman is pro-people, pro-poor, and supportive of women, youth, and startups.

He stressed that the funds must reach the targeted poor and highlighted the need to address financial irregularities noted by the CAG. Speaking from New Delhi, Bose called for the state government's prudence and wisdom in managing the funds.
