Punjab Police Launch Massive Operation in Pathankot Village

Punjab police initiated a combing operation in Phangtoli village after reports of seven suspicious individuals emerged. Residents reported their presence and informed the authorities, leading to a joint search effort. No weapons were found on the suspects.

Punjab police commenced a combing operation in Phangtoli village, Pathankot district, on Wednesday following reports of seven suspicious individuals sighted in the area. Authorities stated that the suspects were seen requesting water from a house before departing, which aroused suspicion among the residents.

'Yesterday, late at night, we received information that in Phangtoli village, around seven suspicious persons were seen. We will verify all the angles. This morning, a joint search is being conducted,' said Sumer Singh, Pathankot Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), in a statement to ANI. 'We will check the area. According to those who saw them, the suspected individuals did not have any ammunition,' he added.

In response, Punjab Police has released a sketch of one of the seven suspects spotted in the village. The search operation continues as authorities seek to verify the identity and intentions of the individuals.
