ReNew Launches Major 400 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan
ReNew inaugurated a 400 MW solar project in Rajasthan. The project, part of a 600 MW PPA with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), was launched by Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma. Expected to generate 1331 million units of electricity annually, the PPA tariff is set at Rs 2.18/kWh.
ReNew Power has inaugurated a significant 400 megawatt (MW) solar power project in Rajasthan, as confirmed in a company statement on Wednesday.
The project was launched by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, in the presence of SECI Chairman R P Gupta and ReNew's Founder, Chairman, and CEO Sumant Sinha, among other dignitaries.
This initiative is part of a 600 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to generate clean, renewable energy in Rajasthan for the next 25 years, with an annual electricity generation capacity of approximately 1331 million units and a tariff of Rs 2.18 per kilowatt hour (kWh).
