Ex-Agniveers to Benefit from Historic Reservation and Relaxation in Security Forces
Ex-Agniveers are granted 10% reservation, age relaxation, and exemption from the Physical Efficiency Test in multiple security forces, including BSF, CISF, RPF, SSB, and CRPF. The decision, backed by the Home Ministry, aims to provide livelihood and leverage trained manpower efficiently.

In a historic move, ex-Agniveers will receive a 10% reservation, age relaxation, and exemption from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in various Indian security forces, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Services Selection Board (SSB), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
CRPF Director General Anish Dayal Singh confirmed that arrangements are in place to recruit ex-Agniveers. 'The Home Ministry has ordered this reservation and age relaxation,' Singh stated. 'The first batch will benefit from a five-year age relaxation, followed by a three-year relaxation for subsequent batches,' he added.
SSB DG Daljit Singh Chaudhary pointed out the positive impact on ex-Agniveers' livelihoods and the availability of trained manpower. Similar changes were echoed by RPF DG Manoj Yadava, CISF DG Neena Singh, and BSF DG Nitin Agrawal, emphasizing the efficiency and readiness of their respective forces to induct ex-Agniveers swiftly.
