HPAS Officers Rally Support for Himachal CM's Reform Agenda

A delegation of HPAS officers, led by Shravan Manta, met with Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to discuss ongoing government reforms. The CM highlighted education and health as key focus areas and underscored the role of HPAS officers. Tourism initiatives were also emphasized.

A delegation of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) Officers, headed by President Shravan Manta, approached Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday. The Chief Minister highlighted ongoing reforms across various government sectors aimed at enhancing service quality for the state's populace, and stressed the pivotal role HPAS officers could play in these initiatives.

CM Sukhu emphasized that the education and health sectors remain primary focus areas for the state government, noting ample opportunities for systemic improvements to benefit the general public. He urged HPAS officers to work with dedication and diligence to fulfill the expectations of the state’s residents.

The HPAS Association assured the Chief Minister of their full cooperation in executing the state's policies and programs effectively. The meeting also saw the presence of Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar, and other association office bearers.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhu highlighted efforts to connect all district headquarters through heliports to boost tourism. He stated, "To promote tourism in Himachal Pradesh, we have initiated efforts to connect all district headquarters with heliports. Our government aims to elevate Himachal Pradesh as the most beautiful state in the country from a tourism perspective."

He further mentioned that the Bir Billing site, renowned globally for paragliding, is expected to attract paragliders from numerous countries between November 2 to 9, thereby enhancing tourism. The Chief Minister also criticized the Union Budget for excluding allocations to address the recent flood disaster in Himachal Pradesh, stating that the state should have received Rs 9 thousand crores under PDNA.
