Russia's Diesel Export Strategy: Stability Amidst Fuel Shortages

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that Russia has no plans to ban diesel exports despite recent fuel shortages and a significant rise in the wholesale price of Ai-95 gasoline. The supply issues are attributed to refinery maintenance and high demand, deemed temporary by Novak.

Russia is maintaining its diesel export policies and does not plan to implement any bans, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak disclosed on Thursday. Novak, responsible for overseeing Russia's oil sector, assured that there are no additional measures in the pipeline to address Ai-95 gasoline supply disruptions.

The wholesale price of Ai-95 gasoline has surged by approximately 44% over the past six weeks, nearing an all-time high. These supply challenges are largely due to refinery maintenance schedules and heightened demand.

Despite the increase in gasoline prices and supply difficulties, Novak emphasized that these issues are temporary and the situation remains under control.
