CBI Detains German National with 6kg Cocaine at Delhi Airport

The Central Bureau of Investigation has detained Ashok Kumar, a German national of Indian origin, with six kg of cocaine at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The cocaine was hidden in capsules inside soft toys. Further investigation is underway, and a related arrest has also been made by the Anti-Narcotics Squad.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained a German national of Indian origin with a consignment of six kilograms of cocaine at Indira Gandhi International Airport, officials reported. The suspect, identified as Ashok Kumar, was travelling on Indigo Airlines flight 6E 1308 from Doha to New Delhi.

The drugs were concealed within capsules hidden inside two soft toys. Authorities found 270 capsules of what is believed to be cocaine. The individual has been taken into custody, and further investigation is ongoing.

In a related incident, the Anti-Narcotics Squad of the South-East District apprehended a drug peddler during a raid in Hari Nagar Ashram, Sunlight Colony, last week, according to Delhi Police. The operation led to the seizure of Rs 13 crores worth of cocaine, seven mobile phones, a scooter, Rs 11,900 in cash, packing materials, and a digital weighing machine. The apprehended suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Gnahore Serge Pacome from the Ivory Coast. (ANI)
