Delhi's Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) successfully detained a major drug peddler with connections to an Afghan drug nexus in Lajpat Nagar. Hasan Reza, an Afghan national, was apprehended on Thursday with 512 grams of heroin, valued at over one crore in the international market.

The arrest took place in the Haji Hamid area of Lajpat Nagar, following a tip-off about Reza's planned delivery to a receiver near Sant Kanwar Ram Mandir between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Acting on this information, the ANTF conducted a raid and laid a trap, resulting in Reza's capture. Upon searching a transparent polythene bag he was carrying, authorities found 512 grams of heroin concealed inside a juice packet.

Interrogation revealed that Reza was part of an international drug trafficking syndicate, acquiring large heroin quantities from Afghanistan for distribution to receivers in India.
