Jenab Chandel, the Chief of the Himachal Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee, has leveled serious accusations against Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut. Chandel claims Ranaut has neglected flood-affected areas of Himachal Pradesh, failing to bring their plight to the attention of Parliament and not demanding the necessary financial aid for restoration efforts.

Speaking to the media in Shimla, Chandel said, 'It has now become a habit of BJP to criticize rather than support the Himachal Pradesh government in restoring state infrastructure. Our government has already paid 7 lakh rupees to those who lost homes in floods last year. Kangana Ranaut, as an MP, should have raised this important issue in Parliament and demanded financial help to restore the flood-hit state,' Chandel emphasized while discussing with ANI. She added that the Mahila Congress will continue protests until their demands are met.

Among the demands are 33% reservation for women in elections, improved social security, and financial assistance of 8500 rupees per month for poor women. Chandel announced a protest by the All India Mahila Congress at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on July 29, targeting the Union government. 'We demand the implementation of 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies, financial support for economic freedom, and measures to control inflation. Additionally, social security should be guaranteed for all women, especially given the increasing crime rates against women across the country,' Chandel stated. She concluded by stating that protests would continue at state and district levels until their demands are addressed.
