Madhya Pradesh CM Mourns Loss of Veteran BJP Leader Prabhat Jha

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Medanta Medicity Hospital in Gurugram to meet the family of Prabhat Jha, a veteran BJP leader who passed away at the age of 67. Yadav expressed his condolences, highlighting Jha's contributions to the BJP and Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Medanta Medicity Hospital in Gurugram on Friday to console the family of Prabhat Jha, a veteran leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who passed away at the age of 67. Jha, who had been unwell for a prolonged period, died at the hospital on Friday morning.

Expressing his profound grief, CM Yadav took to his social media platform X, stating, 'Today, I reached Medanta Medicity Hospital in Gurugram and met late Prabhat Jha's son Tusmul Jha and his family members to express my condolences. Prabhat Jha's life was dedicated to strengthening the organization and uplifting the weaker sections. I bow down to his feet.' Yadav had earlier conveyed his sorrow over Jha's passing via social media.

In his tribute, Yadav wrote, 'Quite sad news was received about the demise of former state president of the BJP MP and senior leader Prabhat Jha. May Baba Mahakal give peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the bereaved family. Your (Prabhat Jha) significant role in Madhya Pradesh's development will always inspire us. Your departure is an irreparable loss to the political world. Om Shanti!'

Echoing these sentiments, BJP state president VD Sharma also expressed his grief, saying, 'Received very sad news about the demise of senior BJP leader, former state president of BJP MP, Prabhat Jha. May God give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family. Om Shanti!'

Born on June 4, 1957, in Hariharpur, Darbhanga district, Bihar, Prabhat Jha served as the Madhya Pradesh BJP president from May 8, 2010, to December 15, 2012. In April 2008, he was elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. (ANI)
