Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha attended the Niti Aayog meeting in New Delhi, emphasizing the strengthening of cooperative federalism through the council's deliberations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the meeting, where Saha highlighted the state's developmental strides.
Saha presented Tripura's LAKSHYA 2047 vision, aiming to transform the state by enhancing connectivity via the Prime Minister's HIRA Plus Model and improving ease of doing business. He mentioned the state's efforts in digitization, including the introduction of e-office systems and the Beneficiary Management System for welfare schemes.
Discussing industrial and investment opportunities, Saha revealed plans to reduce agriculture dependency by 50% and boost trade, tourism, and infrastructure. He also outlined environmental goals such as increasing forest produce value and water bodies, while stressing the importance of irrigation and road connectivity. Furthermore, initiatives in health, education, women's empowerment, and urban infrastructure were discussed.
