Tragic Accident in Himachal: One Dead and Three Injured by Falling Stone

A stone fell on a Bolero from a hill, leading to one death and three injuries on National Highway No. 5 near 'I Love Himachal' Park at Parwanoo. The police have launched an investigation, and advisories have been issued to caution people against traveling in hilly areas amid weather warnings.

In a tragic incident early Monday morning, a falling stone from a hill claimed one life and injured three others on National Highway No. 5 near the 'I Love Himachal' Park in Parwanoo. The victim has been identified as Devraj.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 am when the stone struck a Punjab Bolero Camper (PB 08CP 9686) traveling from Jalandhar to Shimla, carrying the 'Ajit Samachar' newspaper. Three individuals, including the driver, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to ESI Hospital in Parwanoo for treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the Himachal traffic, tourist, and railway police have issued advisories urging people to avoid hilly areas due to weather warnings issued by the India Meteorological Department. Additionally, the advisory warns against entering rivers or nullahs during rains and calls for spreading awareness about these precautions.
