Paris Olympics organisers announced on Monday that they have resolved initial logistical issues, following complaints from athletes concerning food and transportation.

Athletes had taken issue with the quality and quantity of the food, particularly with the limited availability of breakfast eggs. Organisers had committed to serving fresh, local produce, incorporating organic products and vegetarian options. However, athletes demanded more meat, prompting adjustments.

Sodexo, the catering firm, is tasked with providing around 40,000 meals daily from over 600 tonnes of fresh produce. Paris 2024 CEO, Etienne Thobois, mentioned adjustments including increased animal proteins to meet athlete demands.

Transport issues also arose, with South Korean swimmers relocating due to long commutes on hot buses. Thobois assured that reserve buses have been deployed to improve transportation, noting that the system is now functioning well. The Australian delegation, bringing supplementary food supplies, praised their village experience, citing resolved transport issues and ample food supplies.
