Shares of FMCG giant Colgate-Palmolive India soared nearly 5% on Tuesday following the company’s announcement of a 33% increase in net profit to Rs 363.98 crore for the first quarter ending June 2024.
The stock rose 4.73% to close at Rs 3,361.10 per share on the BSE and peaked at Rs 3,425.90 per share during intra-day trading, touching a 52-week high.
The company's market valuation hit Rs 91,417.09 crore by market close. On the volume front, 61,866 shares were traded on the BSE. The 30-share BSE Sensex closed with a gain of 99.56 points at 81,455.40, while NSE Nifty rose 21.20 points to 24,857.30.
