BSE Market Cap Hits All-Time High Amid Record Rally

The market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms soared to a new record of Rs 460 lakh crore, driven by a rally in equities. The BSE Sensex closed at 81,455.40 points while the NSE Nifty settled at 24,857.30 points. Sustained capital flows and retail investor enthusiasm were key drivers.

The market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms soared to a new all-time high of Rs 460 lakh crore on Tuesday, fueled by an unprecedented rally in equities.

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 81,455.40 points, gaining 99.56 points or 0.12 per cent. The index saw 16 components advancing and 14 declining, touching an intra-day high of 81,815.27 points.

The NSE Nifty climbed 21.20 points or 0.09 per cent to achieve an all-time closing high of 24,857.30. During the day, it hit a high of 24,971.75 points and a low of 24,798.65 points. This record was driven by a cumulative surge of Rs 3.98 lakh crore in investors' wealth over the last three sessions.
