Tragic Electrocution Incident Claims Lives in Dataganj

A woman and her son were tragically electrocuted in Dataganj when an electric wire fell on their iron fence. The incident, reported by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dharmendra Kumar Singh, claimed the lives of Rajendra Devi, 58, and her son, Umesh, 37. The local electricity department will provide compensation to the bereaved family.

A woman and her son were tragically electrocuted when an electric wire fell on the iron fence surrounding their home in Dataganj, officials reported on Wednesday.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dharmendra Kumar Singh stated that Rajendra Devi, 58, accidentally touched the electrified fence late Tuesday night. Her son, Umesh, 37, was also electrocuted when he tried to save her.

The family, residing in the agricultural town of Usava, had installed the fence to keep animals out. The high-power electric wire fell onto the fence, causing the fatal accident. Compensation will be provided by the Electricity Department.
