Santosh Kumar Gangwar Sworn In as Jharkhand Governor

Santosh Kumar Gangwar was sworn in as the Governor of Jharkhand on Wednesday, succeeding CP Radhakrishnan. Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the ceremony, emphasizing Gangwar's extensive political experience and hopeful collaboration for the state's progress.

On Wednesday, Santosh Kumar Gangwar was officially sworn in as Jharkhand's new Governor, succeeding CP Radhakrishnan. The oath of office was administered by Acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand, Sujit Naryan Prasad.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the ceremony and extended his congratulations to Gangwar, who expressed optimism about the state’s future. “I believe this state will establish a strong identity and set benchmarks for development and progress,” Gangwar stated.

Soren praised Gangwar, highlighting his extensive political experience as a former eight-time MP from Bareilly. Gangwar has held numerous ministerial roles, including Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Textiles, Finance, and Labour and Employment. His political career began in 1984, culminating in multiple electoral victories until 2009.
