In the aftermath of the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's appeal for contributions to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund (CMDRF) has garnered significant backing. Contributions are flowing in from multiple sectors to support the disaster-affected areas.

Under the leadership of MLA VK Prashanth, a campaign titled "Vattiyoorkavu Stands with Wayanad" kicked off on Thursday in Thiruvananthapuram. The event, held at the residence of TKA Nair, the Former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, aims to rally support for Wayanad.

This campaign encourages individuals to donate Rs. 100 to the CMDRF to aid the affected areas. TKA Nair emphasized the importance, calling it a "great humanitarian initiative" given Wayanad's ecological fragility. He stressed the urgent need to support CM Vijayan's relief efforts and discouraged any campaigns against the CMDRF. Moreover, Nair cautioned against blaming between the state and central governments, urging immediate focus on relief.

The initiative focuses on mobilizing contributions from residents and businesses, hoping to raise substantial funds. Despite dissenting propaganda, it aims to restore public trust and ensure the fund's efficacy.
