INS Tabar Strengthens Ties with Russian Navy in Maritime Exercise

Indian Navy's frontline frigate, INS Tabar, successfully completed a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) with the Russian Navy Ship Soobrazitelny. The exercise took place during INS Tabar's visit to St. Petersburg, Russia, from July 25 to July 30, 2024, to participate in the 328th Russian Navy Day Parade celebrations.

India and Russia share warm bilateral relations and extensive maritime cooperation. The visit by INS Tabar aimed to strengthen this longstanding friendship and explore new opportunities for enhancing bilateral ties.
