The Haryana Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, has greenlit the revision of pensions and family pensions for retired judicial officers from both pre-2016 and post-2016 periods, based on the Second National Judicial Pay Commission (SNJPC) guidelines.

For pre-2016 retirees, the revision will be calculated by multiplying the existing basic pension as of December 31, 2015, by a factor of 2.81, rounded to the nearest rupee. Alternatively, pensions can be revised by notionally fixing pay as per the Fitment Table of the state's judicial services and the revised pay rules of 2023. Post-2016 retirees will follow the provisions outlined in the Haryana Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2016.

Additionally, dearness relief will be applicable on the new pension amounts per current orders. The Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity has a maximum limit of Rs 20 Lakh and will rise by 25% whenever dearness allowance increases by 50% of the basic pay. Pension disbursing authorities will calculate and disburse the arrears from January 1, 2016, adjusting for any interim relief. Pensioners must undertake to refund any excess payments due to discrepancies.
